Medieval Festival at Fort Tryon Park Announcement

Regretfully Washington Heights and Inwood Development Corporation (WHIDC) will no longer be sponsoring the Medieval Festival at Fort Tryon Park.

After careful consideration of the time, resources and costs associated with the event, we made the decision that we can better serve our community by concentrating on what we do best as an organization.

Our primary mission is to create economic stability for new and established businesses in Northern Manhattan and the Bronx by providing loans, training, certification, grants, marketing assistance, financial education, and referral services. We believe by supporting the development of local businesses we can help the populations we serve to grow and thrive.

We are a proud member of this community and believe our ongoing commitment to local, small business empowerment and economic development will provide even greater value to the neighborhoods we serve and love than for us to put our energies into producing the Medieval Festival.

We thank you for support and look forward to serving you for many years to come,

Sincerely,

Board of Directors

Washington Heights and Inwood Development Corporation
