Violence against the Earth and against women go hand in hand. We work in direct solidarity with women defenders of the Amazon, accompanying them not only in moments of risk but all along the way.

These funds are crucial to our work supporting Indigenous women leaders like Puyr Tembé and mobilizing funds for delegations to Free Land Camp, Brazil’s largest annual gathering of Indigenous peoples. It also enables our work with Indigenous leaders like Olivia Bisa of Peru who will travel with Amazon Watch to New York this month to confront banks financing oil extraction in the Peruvian Amazon.
