ABOUT AACDS

AACDS is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) established in 2004 to deliver nationally accredited qualifications in cosmetic nursing and dermal therapies. AACDS developed the first vocational qualifications in dermal therapies in 2004 and the first formal postgraduate qualification in cosmetic nursing in 2007.

AACDS continues to be at the forefront of innovation in the field of aesthetics education and has developed the first nationally accredited qualification in cosmetic medicine in partnership with Cosmetic Physicians College of Australasia.

Linda Sim, MBA​

Linda is the CEO of Niche Education Group (trading as AACDS). Linda has extensive business experience in the beauty industry ranging from owning a cosmetic franchise in New Zealand to lecturing in dermal science to running all the Aspire Training Clinics. Linda holds a Diploma of Beauty Therapy, Advanced Diploma of Cosmetic Dermal Science, Higher Education Certificate in Cosmetic Chemistry, Diploma of Business and a Masters of Business Administration​.

Ekta-Tandon

Ekta Tandon, RN​

Ekta is the course coordinator for the Advanced Diploma of Cosmetic Dermal Science and the Graduate Diploma of Dermal Therapies. Ekta’s role involves curriculum development, lecturing and training as well as managing the Aesthetics CPD Program. Ekta holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Advanced Diploma of Cosmetic Dermal Science and a Masters of Nursing.​

Dr Jayson Oates, MBBS, FRACS​

Dr Jayson Oates FRACS is the primary cosmetic surgeon and medical director of Academy Face and Body in Subiaco, Perth. Dr Oates completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1990 and went on to specialise in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, completing the course in 1997 and becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons FRACS in 1998.

Dr Keturah Hoffman MBBS​

Dr Keturah Hoffman is the unit coordinator for the Cosmetic Injectables unit and Dermatology unit. Her role involves curriculum development, lecturing, training and assessing. Dr Hoffman has been a Cosmetic Physician and Phlebologist for nearly 30 years, as well as continuing in limited General Practice.  She was the Inaugural President of the Cosmetic Physicians Society of Australasia, and is on the Board of the Cosmetic Physicians College of Australasia and the course coordinator for that College's Registrar Training Program.  Dr Hoffman is a Foundation Fellow of the Australasian College of Phlebology and a Life Fellow of the Cosmetic Physicians College of Australasia.  She has been involved in teaching and training in cosmetic and vascular medicine for over 20 years and is a firm believer that greater knowledge and skill leads to greater safety. ​

Jessica-Voon

Jessica Voon, Registered Pharmacist - B.MEDSC, M.PHARM​

Jessica is the unit coordinator and senior lecturer for the units ‘Evaluate the use and formulation of cosmeceuticals’ and ‘Apply the anti-ageing protocols to cosmetic medicine’. Jessica is a practicing compounding pharmacist with a special interest in cosmetic formulations.

Simon Ross - CPA​

Simon is the unit coordinator and senior lecturer for the unit ‘Manage and promote the cosmetic practice’. Simon is a Certified Practicing Accountant holding a current position as Chief Financial Officer at Niche Education Group and the Aspire Training Clinics. He has over 10 years’ experience in the field of aesthetics and education.​

Marian Morley, RN​

Marian is the unit coordinator and senior lecturer for the unit ‘Integrate health and dermatology for cosmetic practice’. Marian has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Nursing, Diplomas in Operating Room Nursing and Occupational Health and Safety. She also holds certificates in nutrition, exercise physiology, homeopathy, herbal medicine, aromatherapy, massage/lymphatic drainage, reflexology and anti-aging/functional medicine.

Dr Carol Wang, RN​

Dr Carol Chunfeng Wang is a registered nurse, licensed acupuncturist, teaching and research academic. Carol is also a holistic practitioner with 28 years of clinical experience working in China, Singapore, and Australian healthcare systems. Carol holds a dual position as Unit Coordinator for unit CDNCAS01 and as a Senior Lecturer at the School of Nursing, Midwifery, Health Sciences & Physiotherapy at Notre Dame University.

Curriculum Advisory Board​

In addition to our brilliant team, AACDS rely on our Curriculum Advisory Board for advice regarding course content and graduate employment skills. As a vocational provider, our accredited courses are shaped by needs of the cosmetic industry and the skills outcome requested by employers.

Katie’s primary role at AACDS is to provide student support services that are not of an academic nature. She’s available Monday to Friday from the hours of 8.30am to 5pm.
